Centre Management
Vines Road Community Centre is an ACE Community Building Hub and is managed using a Governance model adapted to fit the best interests of the organisation and the community it serves.
The Centre is partly funded by the Department for Victorian Communities, Adult Community & Further Education (ACFE) and the City of Greater Geelong. Other funds are generated through activities such as low cost facility hire contracts.
Vines Road Community Centre Inc is governed by a 9 member volunteer Board of Management under the Vines Road Community Centre Association Incorporated Constitution and Centre Policies and Procedures. The Board of Management employ a Executive Officer/Centre Manager who is responsible for all operational business and advice to the Board members in their Governance role. Members of the Vines Road Community Centre Association may apply for casual vacancies as advertised which may occur between Annual General Meetings. Application forms & the VRCC Constitution are available from The Secretary or the VRCC office.
Membership of VRCC Inc is open to all persons who support and agree to abide by VRCC code of ethics, policies and procedures and who support the philosophies of the Neighbourhood House movement and pay the membership fee.
Membership of VRCC also offers various benefits such as discounts on courses and VRCC services, membership social events and the ability to participate in the progress and development of the Centre. Membership costs only $1 joining fee and $5 per annum .Membership application forms are available from the VRCC office.
Although local community members are welcomed and encouraged to become members of the Community Centre, all courses and activities are open to the whole community – you do not have to be a member of the VRCC Association to participate in VRCC activities or courses.
